Transcription Services

Transcription Services and Health Information Exchange offers a variety of ways to assist with documentation requirements.

The majority of patient documentation is created through front-end speech recognition (FESR), although there are sites remaining where telephone dictation continues to be available.

Documentation created via telephone or FESR is distributed to members of the patient's health care team and the hospital's patient care information system. Transcription Services ensures the security, quality and timely receipt of these documents which are critical to the patient's care.

Looking for Help with FESR (Fluency Flex/Direct)?

To access FESR Resources for your site, all documents are available on the HIM Transcription Services Intranet site (user must be on a hospital network or connected into the network remotely for access). To access this site, folllow this link.
